摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high-speed programmable synchronous counter for long wording in a high frequency band without using an IC for exclusive use while securing a high timing precision. SOLUTION: The high-speed programmable synchronous counter includes a high-speed counter counting lower bits of an entire count value and provided with first and second registers and a low-speed counter provided separately from the high-speed counter and counting upper bits of the entire count value and outputs a carry signal when terminating counting, and the low-speed counter counts a set count value synchronously with the carry signal and outputs a carry signal when terminating counting. The carry of the low-speed counter is used for switching between the first and second registers of the high-speed counter, and the timing precision of the final count end is not dependent upon the precision of the low-speed counter and is secured by the timing precision of the count end after register switching of the high-speed counter.
