PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink stick for which the control of the ink stick when being moved from a feeding passage has been improved, to provide a solid ink feeding system, and to provide a filling method for the ink stick. SOLUTION: At the lower section of the feeding passage 129C, a feeding passage support/guide rail 140C in the longitudinal direction is included, and the feeding passage support/guide rail 140C defines a corresponding feeding passage support/guide trough or a groove 141C in the longitudinal direction. The feeding passage support/guide rail 140C and the feeding passage support/guide groove 141C are laterally offset from the center of the longitudinal axis of the feeding passage 129C, and support and guide the bottom surface of the ink stick 330C. The feeding passage 129C includes a feeding passage side support/guide rail 147C in the longitudinal direction which extends horizontally inward from an intermediate point in the approximately vertical direction of a lateral side wall 144C. Thus, the interruption of the downward insertion of the ink stick by the guide rail 147C is eliminated, and the insertion of the ink stick is made possible. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
