POLYESTER RESIN COMPOSITION FOR HOUSING, AND MOLDED ARTICLE THEREOF

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress generation of a volatile organic compound in an automobile from a reinforced polyester resin for a housing while retaining mechanical strength thereof. SOLUTION: (1) The thermoplastic resin composition for a housing comprises (A) 100 pts.mass of a thermoplastic polyester resin mainly composed of an alkylene terephthalate recurring unit, (B) 0.01-30 pts.mass of a partially aromatic polyamide and (C) 10-100 pts.mass of an inorganic filler. (2) The thermoplastic polyester resin is a polyalkylene terephthalate and/or a copolyester thereof or a mixture of polyalkylene terephthalates in the thermoplastic resin composition (1) for a housing. (3) The partially aromatic polyamide (B) is a polyamide comprising at least 70 mol% of a recurring unit composed of meta-xylylenediamine and adipic acid in the thermoplastic resin composition (1) for a housing.
