PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an auxiliary for floor wiping with water, which is used after dilution with water, hence exhibits good wettability, and is easily dried. SOLUTION: The auxiliary for floor wiping with water contains, as an effective component, one or more nonionic surfactants selected from surfactants represented by general formula (I): R<SP>1</SP>-O-(EO)<SB>p</SB>-H (wherein R<SP>1</SP>is a linear or branched 11-18C alkyl group, etc.; EO is an oxyethylene group; and p is an average added mol number being 15-200) and from surfactants represented by general formula (II): R<SP>2</SP>-O-(EO)<SB>q</SB>/(PO)<SB>r</SB>-H (wherein R<SP>2</SP>is a linear or branched 11-18C alkyl group, etc.; EO is an oxyethylene group; PO is an oxypropylene group; EO and PO may be bonded by random bonding or block bonding; and each of q and r exhibits an average additional molar number, q being 8-50 and r being 0.5-20).
