PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of driving a panel for information display capable of obtaining a high-contrast and high-definition image which is demanded recently. SOLUTION: In the method of driving the panel for information display for displaying information of an image etc., by moving a display medium by applying the display medium with an electric field produced by applying a plurality of pulse voltages a column-side line electrode provided to one substrate and a row-side line electrode provided to the other substrate and crossing the column-side line electrode at right angles while the display medium is charged between the two substrates at least one of which is transparent, when the difference between a voltage of each pulse applied of the column-side line electrode and a voltage applied to the row side is denoted as dV, a rise from 10 to 90% of a voltage value that the dV should reach is set to≤100μsec and the width of the pulse is set to 30μsec to 1 msec.
