A method for manufacturing a suture tape for asphalt roads is provided to produce the suture tape that enables repair without expensive equipment and skilled workers and allows vehicular traffic immediately after the repair. A method for manufacturing a suture tape for asphalt roads includes the steps of: (100) heating 100 parts by weight of polymer-modified asphalt to 150-200 °C; (110) adding 6.5-20 parts by weight of cellulose to the heated polymer-modified asphalt, and stirring the admixture for 30 minutes to a hour to produce a stabilized mixture; (120) cooling the mixture to 100-130 °C, and producing a first extrusion; (130) producing a second extrusion having a width of 30-150 mm and a thickness of 2-15 mm from the first extrusion; (140) spraying silica sand or calcium carbonate on the upside of the second extrusion; and (150) attaching an adhesive-coated release paper or vinyl sheet to the underside of the second extrusion.
