A drug delivery system is provided to emit heat under specific magnetic field to control release of a drug and be capable of heat-treatment, thereby promoting therapeutic effect. A drug delivery system is characterized in that it comprises particles which are surrounded by metal oxide particles, a silica layer is formed on the surface of the metal oxide, the surface of the silica is modified by a thermo-sensitive polymer and pores are formed on the silica. A method for preparing the drug delivery system comprises the steps of: (a) preparing a micelle from a surfactant; (b) mixing the micelle with metal oxide particles by agitating the micelle and the metal oxide particles to adhere the metal oxide particle onto the surface of the micelle; (c) mixing the product obtained from the step(b) with silicate by agitating the product obtained from the step(b) and the silicate to form a silica layer on the surface of the metal oxide particles; (d) sintering a product obtained from the step(c) to evaporate the surfactant, thereby forming pores on the silica layer; and (e) modifying the silica surface with a thermo-sensitive polymer.
