<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sealing device enabling to enhance the rate of an increase in sliding resistance to an increase in pressure of sealing fluid. <P>SOLUTION: The sealing device, for sealing an annular space between a rod 70 and a cylinder 80 relatively reciprocating with each other, is mounted in an annular groove 71 in the outer periphery of the rod 70. The sealing device comprises a rubber elastic body 10 put in close contact with the groove bottom of the annular groove 71, and a resin seal ring provided on the outer periphery side of the rubber elastic body 10 slidably relative to the cylinder 80. The resin seal ring consists of first seal rings 20, 30 to be put in contact with the cylinder 80 independently of hydraulic pressure and a second seal ring 40 to be diameter-enlarged from the condition that it is not put in contact with the cylinder 80 into the condition that it is put in contact with the cylinder 80 as the hydraulic pressure is increased. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
