<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize identification and display of an error in an image forming system in a space-saving manner. <P>SOLUTION: The error display device is provided with a plurality of light sources 113 having mutually different wavelengths closely to each other, and one window 115 fronting on cast light from the light sources 113. The device turns on or off each of the light sources 113 relatedly to each of a plurality of errors in the image forming system.
