<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lighting system capable of reducing irregularities in luminance. <P>SOLUTION: A reflecting plate 2 reflecting light radiated by a discharge lamp 1 forward while being arranged at the rear of the discharge lamp 1 is in a parabolic cylinder shape of which the longitudinal direction nearly coincides with the axial direction of the discharge lamp 1, is formed in a gutter shape along the axial direction of the discharge lamp 1, and has a plurality of reflection surfaces 21 for storing each discharge lamp 1 inside. The plurality of reflection surfaces 21 are combined at the side of a diffusion plate 3 instead of at the discharge lamp 1 between two adjacent discharge lamps 1, 1; a protrusion 24 having an inclined surface 24a for reflecting light radiated from the discharge lamp 1 toward a reflection surface 21 outside the deepest section is provided at the deepest section of the reflection surface 21 that opposes the discharge lamp 1; and distance (g) between the top of the protrusion 24 and the rear surface of the discharge lamp 1 is set to not less than 0.5 mm. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
