<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suitably reduce power consumption of a display controller while suppressing occurrence of a frame drop or deterioration of image quality. <P>SOLUTION: In a personal computer 1 applicable to this information processor, a PSμC 39 acquires battery information that is information related to a battery 40, and an EC/KBC 38 decides the kind of the battery 40 based on the acquired battery information, sets a prescribed reference value used when monitoring the power consumption of the display controller 34 based on a decision result thereof, decides whether or not the power consumption of the display controller 34 varies across the set prescribed reference value, and changes over an operation mode of the display controller 34 based on a decision result thereof. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
