<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that wiping fluctuation is generated due to the slack of a belt member and recording liquid scatters when blades come off from the nozzle face of a head when wiping the elongate head by the blades arranged in the belt member. <P>SOLUTION: In a keeping restoring unit 2, two wiper blades 22, 23 are carried by the circulatingly moving belt member 25, a pushing and pressing member 29 as a pushing and pressing means pushing and pressing the belt member 25 by raising the portion opposing the head 1 of the belt member 25 to the head 1 side from the tangent line of a driving roller 26 and a driven roller 27 and keeping the distance between the blades 22, 23 and the nozzle face 13 of the head 1 substantially constant is arranged in the rear face side of the belt member 25, and the length L1 by which the pushing and pressing member 29 holds the distance between the blades 22, 23 and the nozzle face 13 of the head 1 constant is not less than the length L2 of the nozzle line 12 of the head 1 and not more than the length L3 of the head 1 (L2≤L1≤L3). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
