PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a digital camera which is small in power consumption and free of a camera shake, as a camera capable of providing through image display. SOLUTION: The digital camera has an imaging element 211 which acquires a subject image through a taking lens, a liquid crystal monitor 26 for through image display which provides through image display of a motion image obtained by repeatedly picking up a subject images by the imaging element, an enlargement mode switch 256 for enlarging the through image display, a camera shake sensor 214, a camera shake correcting arithmetic circuit 215 which computes a camera shake quantity according to the output from the camera shake sensor, and an electronic camera shake correcting means (#175) of correcting a cutting position of image data based upon the output of the imaging element 211 according to the camera shake quantity output from the camera shake correcting arithmetic circuit 215 when the enlargement mode switch 256 designates enlarged display, and displays a motion image whose camera shake is reduced by the electronic camera shake correcting means in response to an enlargement designation.
