PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain breakaway characteristics that a difference between TVD and TOV is≤2(m/s) in a magnetic disk glide head having two floating rails for generating positive floating pressure. SOLUTION: An air introduction part formed in the flow-in end side of a floating rail is a surface parallel to a floating rail surface and recessed more by 0.15 to 3.0 (μm) or less than the floating rail surface, and roughness Ra2 of the recessed surface is 20 nm or more. Thus, a meniscus force caused by lubricants on a magnetic disk surface is reduced, and values of TVD and TOV are reduced. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
