PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a disk device capable of suppressing the scratches of a disk and thinning the device further. SOLUTION: The disk device comprises: a turntable; a clamper unit for clamping the disk with the turntable; a case body where a disk insertion port is formed one side face, an opening that the clamper unit can pass through is formed on a surface facing the turntable, the edge part of the opening is raised as approaching the edge part from the periphery, and a rib extending linearly from the downstream side of the disk insertion direction of the edge part to the downstream further, is provided; a clamper moving device for moving the clamper unit between a disk pressing position and a withdrawn position separated from the turntable more than the edge part; a disk carrier for carrying the disk to between the turntable and the clamper; a disk guide member for inclining the disk and guiding the movement of the disk so that the distal end of the disk is slid on the rib; and a recording and reproducing device for performing recording or reproducing of the disk.
