PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To appropriately make an improvement in the quality of image and speed-up of printing compatible. SOLUTION: An inkjet type printing apparatus 10 is equipped with a printing head 108 having a nozzle row, a nozzle selecting part 206 for selecting a plurality of nozzles continuously arranged on a part of the nozzle row, a main scanning controlling part 202 scanning the printing head in the main scanning direction while ink droplets are delivered from at least a part of the nozzles among a plurality of the nozzles selected by the nozzle selecting part 206, and a sub-scanning controlling part 204 for moving the printing head 108 in the sub-scanning direction relatively to a medium 30 to which the ink droplets are delivered. When the main scanning controlling part 202 scans the printing head 108 in the main scanning direction, on every time when the selected nozzles deliver the ink droplets for preset number of times, the nozzle selecting part 206 changes the nozzle selected as a plurality of the nozzles arranged continuously.
