Disclosed is a method for manufacturing a three-dimensionally shaped article by irradiating a metallic material component with a beam, wherein the metallic material component is supplied at a high density to increase the density and the strength of the finished three-dimensionally shaped article. Specifically disclosed is a method for manufacturing a three-dimensionally shaped article, which comprises: an irradiation step for irradiating a metallic mesh (2) formed with a metallic wire and a powder layer (3) formed with a metallic powder with a beam (L) to form a solidified or molten layer; and a lamination step for subjecting the metallic mesh to the irradiation step repeatedly to form a three-dimensionally shaped article. In the method, both of the metallic mesh (2) and the metallic powder are supplied in combination as the metallic material component. Therefore, the method enables to supply the metallic material component at a higher density compared to the case where a metallic powder is supplied alone, and enables to produce a three-dimensionally shaped article with higher dimensional accuracy, higher density and higher strength. |
