<p>The present invention provides an amusement machine (10) including a removable tray (38) adapted to contain one or more prize items therein. The present invention also provides an amusement machine (10) including: a first playing area (32), the first playing area (32) containing a first plurality of prize items, means for determining an outcome of a game session in the first playing area (60), a second playing area (34), the second playing area (34) containing a second plurality of prize items, prize retrieval means (60) for extracting a prize item from the second playing area (34), and control means for enabling the prize retrieval means in dependence upon the determined outcome. The present invention further provides an amusement machine (10) including a tray (70, 38) adapted to contain one or more prize items therein, the tray (70) including: a first floor (74) and a second floor (72), the second floor (72) being arranged above the first floor (74), the second floor (72) being movable between a raised position and a lowered position.
