<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a molded building material which has formaldehyde adsorption ability kept over a long period and is excellent in incombustibility and strength. <P>SOLUTION: The wood-based carbide building material is manufactured by adding calcium hydroxide and if necessary, a binder into a wood-based carbide powder and after mixing and press-molding, carbonating the calcium hydroxide, wherein the quantity of calcium hydroxide to be added based on 100 pts.wt. wood-based carbide is controlled to≥100 ptw.wt. and at least≥1/3 times of the wood-based carbide is one manufactured by high-temperature-carbonization treatment at the maximum temperature of≥1,000°C. Additionally, as an oxidization assistant for accelerating the oxidization of the adsorbed formaldehyde, titanium oxide and/or platinum is added into the molded building material. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
