摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display device capable of electrically detecting positional deviation of an IC chip easily and reliably. SOLUTION: In the COF type liquid crystal display device, a positional deviation detecting pattern 12 corresponding to a dummy bump 22 on the IC chip 2 side is disposed on a flexible substrate 1. The positional deviation detecting pattern 12 includes: a reference land 121 formed on the position superimposed on the dummy bump 22; a reference line 122 drawn out so as to reach the edge of the flexible substrate 1 from one side of the reference land 121; and a side line 123 formed so as to reach the edge of the flexible substrate 1 while surrounding the periphery of the reference land 121 besides the reference line 122 with a prescribed distance (aperture). Therein, the aperture formed by the side line 123 is made to be a limit value of deviation amount allowable for respective directions.
