PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pointer type display capable of reducing a design load concerned in illumination tuning, and capable of reducing a cost. SOLUTION: This pointer type display includes the first light source 9 distribution-arranged with the number in response to an amplitude angle of the first pointer 5, and for bringing the first pointer 5 into a luminescent condition, the second light source 10 distribution-arranged with the number smaller than that of the first light source 9 in response to an amplitude angle of the second pointer 6, and for bringing the second pointer 6 into a luminescent condition, the third light source 11 distribution-arranged with the number smaller than that of the second light source 10 in response to an amplitude angle of the third pointer 7, and for bringing the third pointer 7 into a luminescent condition, and resistance elements (regulation means) R1-R6 for regulating current values supplied to the first-third light sources 9-11 to make respective luminescent brightnesses of the first-third pointers 5-7 get near each other.
