PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a safety mechanism of a radiator cap preventing the removal of the radiator cap when the temperature of cooling water in a radiator is high, without requiring special operation. SOLUTION: This radiator cap C is provided with a thermosensible lock means 7 for checking slipping-out of the radiator cap C by engaging with a lower end opening edge part 83 of a filler neck 8 when the temperature in the radiator becomes a predetermined value or more. This thermosensible lock means 7 is composed of an engaging pin 71 slidingly provided in the radial direction in a state of penetrating through a peripheral wall of a cylindrical body 2 and engageably-disengageably engaging with the lower end opening edge part 83 of the filler neck 8, a plate spring (an energizing means) 72 energizing in the direction for releasing an engaging state with the filler neck 8, and a thermally driving means 73 pressing the engaging pin 71 in the direction for engaging with the lower end opening edge part 83 of the filler neck 8 against energizing force of the energizing means 72 when the temperature in the radiator becomes the predetermined value or more.
