<p>The actuator (15) drive (18) includes rolling membrane cylinders (19, 20). The drive has two single-acting rolling membrane cylinders with opposed actions. Alternatively, a single actuator drive is used, having a double-acting rolling membrane cylinder. The actuator drive comprises a cylinder and piston, with a rolling membrane between them. A piston rod is included. The cylinder is oriented in the approach direction (27). A pneumatic supply is connected to the cylinder. The cylinder is controlled for constant force. The piston moves freely in advance and has no resilient return component. A non-return valve (37) prevents application of reduced pressure, on the pressure side of the piston. The non return valve has a low change-over threshold of 0.03-0.05 bar. The actuator unit has a guided positioner (16) on which the contact component (12) and operational head are arranged. The positioner is constructed as a carriage with a guide, carried on the frame of the contact unit. The rolling membrane cylinder is located between the positioner and the frame and has end connections (22-25). Further ancillaries are detailed. The unit has a laser welding head. The frame has a mechanical connector for a multi-axis industrial robot manipulator. Optical line generators are included, to project visible lines before and after the working point. They are arranged on one side of the head and have adjustable holders.</p> |
