<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for diagnosing at least one clutch in a fluid pressure circuit, and a device for carrying out the method. <P>SOLUTION: The method for diagnosing at least one clutch 52 in the fluid pressure circuit 10 comprises monitoring precontrol pressure or the suitable electric amount of a pressure control device 12 to detect a characteristic load change in the fluid pressure circuit 10 in a clutch switching process in a form of operating the at least one clutch 52 through the pressure control device 12 regulating the precontrol pressure.
