PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make the external size of a compact liquid crystal display device for mobile phone small and to eliminate the tilt of an image display area. SOLUTION: A liquid crystal display panel 1 is mounted on a mold 6 made of resin. The mold 6 does not have a wall enclosing the liquid crystal panel 1, so the external shape of a frame 7 can be made small. When the mold 6 mounted with the liquid crystal display panel 1 is mounted on the frame 7, the mold 6 elastically deforms and a projection 62 formed on the mold 6 corrects the tilt of the display area 31 of the liquid crystal display panel 1.
