PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To clearly image a three-dimensional position and a three-dimensional shape of an object reflecting an ultrasonic wave, even when the intensity of a signal acquired by an ultrasonic reception element is weak. SOLUTION: In an ultrasonic imaging method, an ultrasonic wave emitted from an ultrasonic emission element is hit on an object and reflected thereby, and the reflected wave is received by an ultrasonic array sensor formed by arraying a plurality of ultrasonic reception elements, and a spatial shape of the object is imaged based on the relationship between a signal intensity acquired by each reception element and a wave transmission/reception time. The ultrasonic imaging method has characteristics wherein a prescribed number of reception waveforms are stored in a storage means, which are selected in the order of greatness of the signal intensity of a maximal point from a plurality of received waveforms having a pair of minimal points where the signal intensity is changed from a decreasing state to an increasing state before or after the maximal point where the signal intensity is changed from an increasing state to a decreasing state in the reception waveform of the signal intensity acquired by each reception element, and the three-dimensional position and the three-dimensional shape of the object are imaged based on the stored prescribed number of reception waveforms.
