摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a calcination furnace capable of suppressing calcination unevenness of powdery or granular treated objects, and capable of economically or industrially carry out heat treatment even when the temperature is 800°C or more. SOLUTION: The vertical multistage type continuous calcination furnace 1 is provided with a hollow furnace body 2, bulkheads 101-191 extending in a horizontal direction are provided in a vertical direction at certain intervals in an interior of the furnace body 2, and heat treatment chambers 100-190 are formed. The bulkhead 101 is composed of plural divided division walls 102-107. The division walls 102-105 are mutually the same shape, and they are journalled to the furnace body 2 so as to rotate around rotary shafts 102a-105a extending in a longitudinal direction. The bulkheads 111-191 are formed in the same shape as the bulkhead 101. In a heat treatment process, by sequentially rotating the division walls arranged in multistages in the vertical direction from the division walls of an upper stage to the division walls of a lower stage, heat treatment is carried out while the objects to be treated sequentially slide down from the division walls of the upper stage to the division walls of the lower stage.
