<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a residual fuel amount measuring apparatus for measuring the residual amount of stored liquid fuel irrespective of its attitude. <P>SOLUTION: A space in a container 2 is divided into a pressurization channel 32, a pressure adjustment chamber 38, a plurality of liquid chambers 31, and a communication chamber 43. The cross-sectional areas of the liquid chambers 31 are different from each other. The pressurization channel 32 communicates with the adjustment chamber 38. The respective liquid chambers 31 open at their rear ends, to the adjustment chamber 38. The respective liquid chambers 31 communicate with the communication chamber 43 via communication holes 34, and the opening areas of the communication holes 34 are equal to each other. An inlet 44 and an outlet 47, communicating with the communication chamber 43, are formed on a front end face of the container 2. The liquid chambers 31 are divided from each other by viscous bodies 10, and the communication chamber 43 side portions of the liquid chambers 31 and the communication chamber 43 are filled with a fuel 99. An electricity generation module 91 is provided with a sensor 81 for detecting the viscous body 10 when the viscous body 10 is situated rather close to the communication hole 34. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
