PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To restart processing without replacing a crucible, even in a case of emergency stop immediately after the start of processing. SOLUTION: This vacuum melting device comprises a vacuum tank 5 set in processing environment different from the external environment, the crucible 12 made of carbon, and disposed in the vacuum tank 5 for receiving a processed object 20, an induction heating coil 13 disposed around the crucible 12, and melting the processed object 20 received in the crucible 12 by induction heating, and a recovering mechanism such as a crucible rotating mechanism 21 for discharging and recovering the processed object 20 received in the crucible 12 in emergency stop.
