PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To optimally set a voltage value of substrate voltage Vsub according to an imaging mode with low power consumption. SOLUTION: This substrate voltage generation circuit has a differential amplifier circuit 12 for receiving reference voltage used for reference in generating substrate voltage Vsub as a first input, and an inverter circuit 13 for inverting and outputting output voltage of the first input side of the differential amplifier circuit 12 as substrate voltage Vsub, interposes a voltage division circuit 15 in a path for feeding back the output voltage of the inverter circuit 13 to the differential amplifier circuit 11 as a second input, switches resistors 154-1, 154-2 and 154-3 in accordance with an imaging mode to change a voltage division ratio of the voltage division circuit 15, thereby optimally setting the voltage value of the substrate voltage Vsub according to the imaging mode.
