PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a digital broadcast receiver capable of receiving radio waves under the best state even in both receiving signals of a weak electric field and a strong electric field. SOLUTION: The digital broadcast receiver 100 has a variable gain amplifier 2 capable of varying a gain by a signal from the outside while amplifying receiving radio waves from an antenna 1, a distributor 3 distributing the signal from the variable gain amplifier 2 into two and first and second tuners 4 and 5 being connected to the distributor 3 and conducting a channel selection and an amplification. The digital broadcast receiver 100 further has digital demodulating ICs 8A and 8B demodulating the output signals of each tuner and obtaining digital signals and a signal processing section 9 processing the digital signals from the digital demodulating ICs 8A and 8B. The signal processing section 9 computes the bit errors rates of the first and second tuners 4 and 5, and changes the gain of the variable gain amplifier 2 at a time when the bit error rate is a threshold or more.
