PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To miniaturize the whole damper, and to effectively utilize a space in the vicinity of the damper while reducing a cost in the manufacture of the damper. SOLUTION: Recessed sections are formed at opposed end sections of one of paired brace main materials while forming projecting sections at the opposed end sections of the other of the paired brace main materials. The recessed sections and the projecting sections are fitted mutually through voids for a relief, and both brace main materials are connected by a bolted connection through connecting plates as energy absorbing elements in the vicinities of the recessed sections and the projecting sections.
