PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method that suppresses crystal growth of a metal phthalocyanine in a synthetic step, allows the manufacture of uniform and fine metal phthalocyanine at a lower temperature than conventional methods without using a diluent such as an organic solvent having a heavy environmental load and without necessitating application of special mechanical energy such as utilization of a pulverizing medium for micronization, and sharply reduces the load in the pigmentation step after the synthesis step. SOLUTION: A metal fine particle obtained by micronizing a metal which can be a central metal of a metal phthalocyanine is caused to adhere to the surface of a solid carrier to be supported thereon, and phthalic anhydride or a derivative thereof and carbamylurea as a nitrogen source are caused to react with the metal fine particle formed on the surface of the solid carrier as it is.
