PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotation angle detector and a torque detector capable of performing precise detection, even under the condition where stress is applied thereto. SOLUTION: The rotation angle detector 1A includes: an attachment ring 2, provided at the periphery of a drive shaft D as a measurement object; a housing 3 rotatably housing the attachment ring 2; a magnetization ring 4 provided at the outer circumference of the attachment ring 2; a magnetic sensor 5, disposed in the housing 3 and opposite to the magnetization ring 4; arms 61, 62 in which each end is attached so that the movement of the housing 3 about the axis of rotation of the attachment ring 2 is restricted; and damping devices 7 to which the other ends of the arms 61, 62 are attached.
