A heat insulation cell for a fuel cell, in which deformation of a plate-like member (separator) and degradation in a seal function that are caused by heat produced during electric power generation are suppressed. The heat insulation cell (4) for the fuel cell (1) has a heat insulation layer constructed from one or two or more plate-like members (20) and a seal member (13). The heat insulation cell (4) has a communication section (11) for interconnecting the heat insulation layer and the outside, and the communication section (11) is provided at at least a portion of a seal line for sealing between the insulation layer and the outside of the cell (4). It is preferable that a projection is formed at the communication section (11), at a portion of at least either of the one or two or more plate-like members (20). It is also preferable that the heat insulation layer is constructed from a heat insulation member (10), which is placed at the communication section (11). |
