ARMREST DEVICE

An armrest device in which a reduction in locking force, galling, and wearing caused by a free-side hook of a lock spring for locking rotation of an armrest body is prevented. The armrest device has a fixed shaft (2) fixed to a seat frame; the armrest body (7) having the fixed shaft (2) inserted in it and rotatably supported by the fixed shaft; the lock spring (3) formed as a coil spring wound around the fixed shaft (2) in a tight contact state and having one end as a fixed-side hook (3a) engaged with the armrest body (7) and the other end as the free-side hook (3b); a plate (11) for hook, having a hook support section (12) and a hook fitting section (13) and provided so as to rise from the armrest body (7), the hook support section (12) supporting the free-side hook (3b) such that free-side the hook (3b) is pulled up in the direction of axis of the fixed shaft (12), the hook fitting section (13) expanding the lock spring (3) in diameter when the free-side hook (3b) on the hook support section (12) drops downward in the direction of axis of the fixed shaft (12); and a cam member (5) having a lock release cam section (5b) and a relocking cam section (5c) and provided at the fixed shaft (2), the lock release cam section (5b) dropping the free-side hook (3b), when the armrest body (7) is rotated in a receiving direction, from the hook support section (12) into the hook fitting section (13) to release the lock of the lock spring (3), the relocking cam section (5c) lifting up the free-side hook (3b), when the armrest body (7) is rotated in an extending direction, from a hook fitting section (13) to allow the free-side hook (3b) to be supported by the hook support section (12), setting the free-side hook (3b) to a locked state effected by the lock spring (3).
