COMPOSITIONS, DEVICES AND METHODS FOR MODIFYING SOFT TISSUE

Compositions which comprise side chain crystalline (SCC) polymers and which are useful for modifying the soft tissue of human beings and other mammals. The modification can result in cosmetic and/or reconstructive improvement of the soft tissue. The compositions can remain effective for extended periods of time, or if desired, for selected shorter periods. Injection devices which are particularly suitable for dispensing such compositions include a reservoir (1) having an outlet (2) to which a needle is fixed, a piston (2) which is movable within the reservoir so that composition within the reservoir can be urged towards the outlet, and a heater (3) for heating composition near the outlet to a temperature substantially higher than composition relatively remote from the outlet.
