<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an illumination device in which illuminance according to an intended use can be obtained and which can cope with an emergency such as a fire. <P>SOLUTION: This illumination device 1 comprises a solid light-emitting element being a light source 6, and is equipped with a collecting part 4 to collect arbitrary information regarding the illumination device 1 and a setting part 2 to set an operating point of the solid light-emitting element.
