PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that a clutch of a vehicle steering system adopting a steer-by-wire method does not instantly become an engaged state when a relative rotation difference is made between clutch plates.
SOLUTION: The clutch is provided with an inner peripheral face forming member 17 coupled to an end face of an output pulley 15; an outer peripheral face forming member 18 rolled on an inner peripheral face 17a of the inner peripheral face forming member 17; a pair of wedges 20 provided in an annular space 31 formed between a cylindrical part 17b of the inner peripheral face forming member 17 and a circular hole of the outer peripheral face forming member 18 and having base end parts opposing to each other; a spring 21 for energizing the pair of wedges 20 in the direction separating them from each other; a drive part 13a projected and formed on the end face of a connection shaft 13 and inserted between tip parts of the pair of wedges 20; and a lock pin 23 capable of advancing/retracting from the end face of the connection shaft 13 to a space between the base end parts of the pair of wedges 20. While the lock pin 23 is retracted, the clutch becomes disengaged, and while the lock pin 23 is protruded, the clutch becomes engaged.
COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
|
