<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce an amount of calculations by using a fast Fourier transform for a beam composition processing in a transmission selection-type DBF system radar. <P>SOLUTION: The radar apparatus comprises: a Fourier transform section for extracting a reception signal from waves which are received by a receiving element and emitted from a transmitting element doubling as the receiving element, and applying the Fourier transform to a signal sequence of the extracted reception signal, thereby generating a signal in a spatial frequency domain; a phase compensating section for compensating the signal in the spatial frequency domain generated by the Fourier transform section, with a phase difference caused by a difference between a predetermined reference position and a position of the used transmitting element; and a coherent integration section for adding signals in the spatial frequency domain for respective spatial frequencies, after processing the phase compensation which are obtained by using a plurality of transmitting elements. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
