PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a variable resistor/capacitor RC oscillator that has a single channel. SOLUTION: The RC oscillator includes an RC selecting switch disposed in an input port of the oscillator; a resistor output port; a capacitor output port; at least one resistor switch whose first end is connected to the RC selecting switch and whose second end is floating with respect to the resistor output port; and at least one capacitor switch whose first end is connected to the RC selecting switch and whose second end is in floating with respect to the capacitor output port, in which the RC selecting switch makes selection, as to which resistor switch should have its second end connected to the resistor output port and which capacitor switch should have its second end connected to the capacitor output port, so as to generate differing combinations of resistor/capacitor output values on the resistor output port and the capacitor output port.
