PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a passenger monorail, a passenger carriage and a method for laying a passenger monorail, capable of promoting the passenger monorail without disturbing traveling of the passenger carriage, passing of vehicles and walking of pedestrians and being restricted by the width of roads. SOLUTION: A rail installation groove is excavated at least on one side of a road 1. In the rail installation groove, a rail (monorail) 10 is stored and held, and a concrete U-shaped groove 9 having an opening part closed by a plurality of openable/closable cover bodies 9 is embedded. The passenger carriage 20 having cover opening levers 36, 37 is placed on the rail (monorail) 10.
