PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pneumatic radial tire for a passenger car making high speed durability, kinetic performance and operability when changing a direction compatible by preventing deterioration of ground contact performance of the tire when applying a steel cord to a circumferential belt. SOLUTION: This pneumatic radial tire is constituted of a tread part 11, a side wall part 12 and a bead part 13. The tire is provided with a carcass layer 22 for reinforcing each part between mutual bead cores buried in the bead part 13, two layers of crossing belts 23a and 23b crossing with each other, and at least a layer of the circumferential belts 24a and 24b formed by spiral winding substantially parallel to a tire equatorial plane. Each of the circumferential belts 24a and 24b is made of a rubber-steel-cord composite body made by burying a steel cord in which a plurality of steel wire bodies spirally formed in substantially the same pitch are bundled without being twisted in substantially the same phase in rubber.
