摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a roller bearing capable of reducing vibration and noise and improving a rolling fatigue life by reducing contact bearing pressure between a roller and an inner ring or a shaft and between the roller and an outer ring. SOLUTION: The two-split roller bearing comprises a ring-shaped retainer 3 having a pair of ring portions 7, a plurality of circumferential columnar portions 8 joining the ring portions 7 to each other, and pockets 3a formed between the adjacent columnar portions 8, and the plurality of rollers 2 held in the pockets 3a of the retainer 3. The plurality of rollers 2 have rolling contact with an inner ring side peripheral face 6a as an outer peripheral face of the inner ring or the shaft 6 and with an inner peripheral face 1a of the outer ring 1. The retainer 3 is split into two split bodies arranged side by side in a circumferential direction. The ring portion 7 of the retainer is made to function as a sliding bearing wherein an inner peripheral face and outer peripheral face of the ring portion are in slide-contact with the inner ring side peripheral face 6a and the inner peripheral face 1a of the outer ring 1.
