PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a catalyst molded body which is low in pressure difference when being packed in, for example, a fixed-bed type reactor and can effectively display a high catalyst performance as a catalyst or a catalyst carrier. SOLUTION: The catalyst molded body has a penetration hole 11 penetrating in the one direction and also a plurality of side holes 12 communicating with a molded-body surface 10a from the inner part of the penetration hole 11.
