METHOD TO PRESERVE CUT FLOWERS

A method to preserve cut flowers includes placing the stems of the flowers into a container with water containing silver or into a container with a nutrient solution containing silver. Silver in water or in the nutrient solution is in the form of nanoparticles. Copper nanoparticles are additionally introduced into the water or nutrient solution. In doing so silver nanoparticles and copper nanoparticles are introduced as the bactericidal nanomaterial "Shumerske sriblo" (Sumerian silver) obtained by dispersion of silver and copper granules by impulses of electric current in water.
