<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently and simply obtain a high quality optical waveguide (curved waveguide) having few mixed bubbles by uniformly packing a core material in a groove formed on a curved face while suppressing the mixture of bubbles. <P>SOLUTION: The method of manufacturing the optical waveguide structure body includes: a process in which a clad structure body 1 having grooves 3 stretching from one end to the other end of the curved face 2 is manufactured on the curved face 2; a process in which a liquid core material 4 is dropped onto the curved face 2 on the one end side or the other end side of the grooves 3; and a process in which a part of an elastic body 9 is brought into contact with the curved face 2 including the grooves 3 on the side on which the liquid core material 4 is dropped, and the grooves 3 are filled with the liquid core material 4 while deforming the elastic body 9 toward the opposite side of the groove 3. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
