PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To carry out optimal ECC control while minimizing reduction in usage efficiency and access speed of a buffer memory.

SOLUTION: The information processing device 1 is provided with an ECC controller 10 having: a buffer memory 5 storing data and an ECC for correcting the data; a cache memory 20 taking in the data and ECC transferred from the buffer memory to store them; an ECC processing part 28 correcting the data by using the ECC when the data and the ECC are transferred from the buffer memory to the cache memory; and a processor 12 using the data stored in the cache memory to operate processing.
