<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To secure security against a suspicious intruder to a building provided with an elevator. <P>SOLUTION: This safety system is incorporated with a display for flashing a plurality of light emitting elements by a high frequency driving pulse signal, and has a cellular phone displaying and outputting the high frequency driving pulse signal as a light signal on and to the display by modulating by a command to an operation control part 4. A landing hall call registering device 8 and a car call registering device 6 prohibit acceptance of call button operation at ordinary time, and receives the signal light of the display of the cellular phone, and regenerates and transmits the original command to the operation control part 4.
