<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a person authentication device capable of determining start sequence of collation processing when a plurality of walkers are simultaneously detected, for example. <P>SOLUTION: This person authentication device with the walker (a moving person) as an authentication target, decides whether the walker is a previously registered person or not by collating a face image acquired from the walker with previously registered dictionary information. In the person authentication device, position information of a person is acquired by monitoring the whole walkable area, and the acquired position information and the detected face image of the person are associated. When a plurality of the detected face images are present, the start sequence of the collation processing is determined in order wherein the plurality of persons approach a specific position based on associated information thereof, and the collation processing is performed in that sequence. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
